Major Mike Hoeft, provincial emergency and disaster service coordinator for the Salvation Army said they are not sending supplies and donations just yet.
“At this point we’re sending primarily personnel. They go to work in the various ways Salvation Army is helping in Alberta,” said Hoeft.
The Salvation Army was contacted by the division commander in Alberta for emergency response teams to go there, and they started putting teams together.
